Grilled Honey Chicken is an easy recipe that doesn’t require complicated ingredients. It calls for some chicken thighs, which I bought at a convenient price from Big C. Ingredients
- 750-1000 grams chicken thighs
- 4 coriander roots, large
- 1 tablespoon Thai garlic, (small cloves)
- 1 teaspoon white pepper
- 2 tablespoons palm sugar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons evaporated milk
- 1/2 tablespoon dark soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
Method
- 1. With a mortar and pestle grind together the coriander roots, garlic cloves, and pepper until it forms a paste. To make the marinade, mix the paste with palm sugar, evaporated milk, dark soy sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and honey. Stir until well combined.
- 2. Coat the chicken thighs with the marinade and let them sit overnight in a fridge. If you’re in a rush, kneading the marinade into the chicken also works.
- 3. Grill the chicken in the oven at 160C for 20 minutes.
How was that? As easy as I promised, wasn’t it? Serve this recipe with hot sticky rice and Thai spicy dipping sauce (nam jim jaew) for an even better experience. This recipe is perfect for the whole family. I hope you enjoy it.
