Grilled Honey Chicken is an easy recipe that doesn’t require complicated ingredients. It calls for some chicken thighs, which I bought at a convenient price from Big C. Head to your local Big C to pick up fresh ingredients offered daily in the fresh food section. With high-quality ingredients, your food will taste amazing.

Ingredients

  1. 750-1000 grams chicken thighs
  2. 4 coriander roots, large
  3. 1 tablespoon Thai garlic, (small cloves)
  4. 1 teaspoon white pepper
  5. 2 tablespoons palm sugar
  6. 2 tablespoons honey
  7. 2 tablespoons evaporated milk
  8. 1/2 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  9. 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  10. 2 tablespoons oyster sauce

Method

  1. 1. With a mortar and pestle grind together the coriander roots, garlic cloves, and pepper until it forms a paste. To make the marinade, mix the paste with palm sugar, evaporated milk, dark soy sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and honey. Stir until well combined.
  2. 2. Coat the chicken thighs with the marinade and let them sit overnight in a fridge. If you’re in a rush, kneading the marinade into the chicken also works.
  3. 3. Grill the chicken in the oven at 160C for 20 minutes.

How was that? As easy as I promised, wasn’t it? Serve this recipe with hot sticky rice and Thai spicy dipping sauce (nam jim jaew) for an even better experience. This recipe is perfect for the whole family. I hope you enjoy it.
