Mr. Househusband’s Simple Kitchen Tips presents Recipe for Kimbap for Korean-style picnic
Lately, I have been obsessed with Korean drama series so I want to introduce a recipe for Kimbap, a simple dish which is suitable to have on your picnic or on long distance travel.
Ingredients
- Seaweed sheet
- Spinach
- Carrot
- cucumber
- Canned tuna
- 2 eggs
- Ham
- 2 cups of Japanese rice
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 teaspoons of sesame oil
Method
- Cook the Japanese rice in a rice cooker. When it is cooked, take it out to cool down. Then season the rice with salt and sesame oil. (The sesame oil adds fragrance to the rice)
- Cut the ham, carrot and cucumber into long strips.
- Fry the ham. Whip the eggs and fry them into a thin sheet.
- Cut the fried egg into long strips.
- Boil the spinach and season it with salt after taking it out of the boiling water
- Spread a thin layer of cooked rice over the seaweed sheet, then add the ham, tuna, spinach, carrot and cucumber.
- Roll the ingredients and apply sesame oil on the seaweed, then cut into bite size pieces.
Put the Kimbap in a container. Now your meal for the road is ready! You no longer have to feel hungry when travelling a long distance. All the ingredients used in the recipe are available at Big C Super Center branches or you can order them from our online store here.
