Mr. Househusband’s Simple Kitchen Tips presents a Recipe for Spicy Minced Pork and Tomato Paste

I’ve heard people around me saying they want to travel upcountry for a vacation. But all they can do now is to find activities to relieve stress at home. Many people are choosing cooking as a way to relieve their stress. Today, I’d like to introduce a recipe for Nam Prik Ong or spicy minced pork and tomato paste. This is one of the famous dishes from the north of Thailand. If you can’t go to the north, bring the north home!

Ingredients

  1. 500 grams of minced pork
  2. 20 cherry tomatoes
  3. 5 shallots
  4. 10 cloves of garlic
  5. 5 dried chilies

  7. 1 teaspoon of salt
  8. 1 teaspoon of sugar
  9. 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  10. 1 spring onion
  11. Coriander

Method

  1. Grind the shallots and garlic into a rough paste.
  2. Add shrimp paste and salt and softly grind them together.
  3. Add vegetable oil to a pan over medium heat. Add the minced pork and stir fry until it is well cooked. Then add the ground ingredients.
  4. After stir frying the ingredients for a while, add a little water and the cherry tomatoes. Stir fry until the tomatoes are well cooked.
